PRODUCTION ASSISTANT COURSE 

Your First Step into the Film Industry!

The film set is a place where processes happen incredibly fast but with precision. A Production Assistant (PA) is one of the key team players ensuring that the filming process runs smoothly. The PA role is an entry-level but essential position that provides a deeper understanding of the structure of a film set, the opportunity to work with various departments, and the chance to gain your first real work experience in cinema.

What will you learn in this course?

  • Film Set 101: You’ll understand the hierarchy of a film set and the principles of teamwork.

  • You’ll acquire basic knowledge of the filmmaking process, from pre-production to post-production.

  • You’ll learn to work effectively with key production documents and planning tools.

  • You’ll develop communication skills to quickly and efficiently respond to challenges on set.

  • You’ll learn about work ethics, safety principles, and practical aspects of logistics.

  • You’ll gain valuable contacts that will help you launch your career in the industry.

After completing this course, you will be prepared for real work experience on a film set, with practical skills and industry contacts that will help you start your career in the film industry.

Course lecturer – Lukas Kudapčenka, 1st Assistant Director.

Lukas Kudapčenka graduated in 2014 with a degree in Film and TV Production from the University of Westminster in London. After his studies, he started working in the Assistant Director (AD) department in London, where he successfully gained experience and strengthened his professional skills. As his career progressed, Lukas returned to Lithuania and joined both international and national film and commercial production teams.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to more than 30 films and 250 commercials. Lukas has worked with global companies such as HBO (Chernobyl), BBC (Rise of the Nazis), and major brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Honda, Toyota, Volvo, Adidas, Samsung, Nivea, and Gucci.

Today, Lukas continues to actively work in both Lithuania and abroad, further expanding his experience in the film and advertising industries.

 

Participant Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years old

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of B2 level

Course Fee: 690 EUR
